EFAD members support coproductions by means of specific schemes including support to minority coproductions.
Several national Film Agencies also participate in the new Open Method of Coordination (OMC) group of Member States' experts on co-productions in the audiovisual sector launched in 2019. The group is co-chaired by Doreen Boonekamp (former CEO of the Nederlands Film Fund) and Alex Traila (Romanian Film Center).
The final report "Coproductions that shine" was published in February 2022.
