After the success of the Dale! Award in San Sebastián awarded since 2016 and focused on development stage, we are delighted to announce the launch of the new EFAD-CAACI promotion & distribution grant for a project in the final cut or fist cut of Ventana Sur.
Ventana Sur is one of the leading film and audiovisual markets in Latin America and a key event organized in collaboration with the Marché du Film – Festival de Cannes committed to fostering European-Latin American cinematic collaboration – therefore the ideal platform for the introduction of the new DALE! Award.
This new award, to be presented during Ventana Sur from December 2 to 6, 2024, aims to support the promotion and circulation of a coproduction between Latin American and European countries.
The DALE! Award, of 10K€, will support the visibility and distribution of a Latin American feature film co-produced with at least one European country.
The award will be granted by an international jury, composed of one representative from CAACI, one from EFAD, and a third member selected by Ventana Sur.
The six co-productions eligible for the DALE! Award are:
- Bajo el mismo sol by Ulises Porra (Dominican Republic, Spain)
- Cuerpo criminal by Martín Boulocq (Bolivia, Argentina, France, Germany)
- Los renacidos by Santiago Esteves (Argentina, Chile, Spain)
- Olivia by Sofía Petersen (Argentina, UK, Spain)
- Punku by Juan Daniel Fernández Molero (Peru, Spain)
- Todos mis viajes son viajes de regreso by Manuel Ponce de León (Colombia, France)
The winner of DALE! Award will be announced during the award ceremony in Montevideo, Uruguay.
