At the occasion of the Cannes International Film Festival, it was announced that ESFUF will be reinforced by the contributions of two new EFAD members, the Norwegian Film Institute and the British Film Institute's UK Global Screen Fund bringing the number of contributing countries to 15.

EFAD members unanimously agreed to accept the Ukrainian State Film Agency as new member during their General Assembly held in San Sebastian on 19 September. 
Following first contacts in Cannes, USFA submitted an official application during the Summer. USFA will join as associate member, a status for countries
