The Cinematography Foundation Sarajevo was founded in 2002 by the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and works under the auspices of the Ministry of culture and Sports of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The main goal of the institution is to provide funds for stimulation, development and improvement of filmmaking and film production. The other goals of the Foundation are to connect, cooperate and exchange the information and experiences with similar associations outside the borders of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and adaptation of cinematography to technological and organizational changes, as well as the development of technical standards in the field of audiovisual media.
