Launched in 2018, the Arab Film Institutes Commission is a 7 member states initiative aiming at coordinating, facilitating and empowering the Arab film industry. AFIC takes into account the common cultural roots of its representatives, as well as their will for a significant and sustainable involvement of the public sector in shaping the future of this industry, while ensuring artistic freedom and respecting the independence of culture.

The members of AFIC are: The National Center for Cinema and Audiovisual - CNCA (Algeria), The Egyptian Film Center – CNCE (Egypt), The Royal Film Commission - Jordan - RFC (Jordan), The Fondation Liban Cinéma - FLC (Lebanon), The Centre Cinématographique Marocain - CCM (Morocco), The Palestine Film Institute - PFI (Palestine), The Centre National du Cinéma et de l’Image - CNCI (Tunisie). CAACI - Conferencia de Autoridades Audiovisuales y Cinematográficas de Iberoamérica

The Conference of Ibero-American Audiovisual and Cinematographic Authorities (CAACI) is an international organization of the Ibero-American regional scope specialized in audiovisual and cinematographic matters. It was created on 11 November 1989 through the signing of the Ibero-American Convention on Cinematographic Integration, with the participation of the highest audiovisual and cinematographic authorities of twenty-one countries.

EFAD and CAACI have launched a structured partnership in 2016. The Toulouse declaration adopted at the occasion of a high level meeting organised in March 2016 set outs the main priorities of this institutional cooperation. A joint co-development grant, called Dale! Award, was launched for the first time in 2016 and it is distributed in the framework of the San Sebastian International Film Festival (2016, 2017, 2018). Regular meetings were organised to discuss coproduction and distribution issues. A common statement on "The importance of the promotion and preservation of film diversity and territoriality, in light of the digital challenges" was also adopted in 2017. The last meeting was organised during the Berlin Film Festival in 2022, on co-production between EFAD and CAACI members.

You can find here more info on the projects that received the Dale ! Award.

EURIMAGES

Eurimages is the cultural support fund of the Council of Europe. Active since 1989, it numbers 38 of the 46 member states of the Strasbourg-based Organisation, plus Canada.

A partnership was created in 2022 to create the Inclusion and Diversity mapping, collecting information about the diversity and inclusion measures already developed in the associations’ member countries. It concentrates mainly on film funding measures, festivals, associations and resources. The focus of the mapping is on current diversity and inclusion measures in the audiovisual and cinemas sectors, with a desire to emphasise the necessity of more action in these areas.
